John “AJ” Hood

Dr. John “AJ” Hood was raised in Mandeville, Louisiana, where he attended Lakeshore High School. Throughout his childhood and during summers, he could be found with his stepfather working as a residential and commercial carpenter. John is an alumnus of the University of Southern Mississippi, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science. Following graduation, he began work as a physical therapy technician with Dr. Squatrito III and Mrs. Langoni, where he discovered the importance of individualized, evidence-based physical therapy and its impact on quality of life. Thus, he pursued his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Louisiana State University – New Orleans and graduated in 2022. John has extensive training in spinal mobilization and high velocity, low amplitude thrust mobilizations, orthopedic disorders, movement disorders, dry needling, balance training, and post-operative rehabilitation. John has been certified in dry needling from the Spinal Manipulation Institute since 2022 and is actively pursuing other certifications. He has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2019.
